An agitator tank is a tank that contains a rotating impeller that mixes the contents of the tank. The impeller rotates at a controlled speed, which imparts energy to the contents of the tank, causing them to mix.
Agitators are used in industrial plants to perform a variety of functions, including:
- Mixing: Mixing liquids, gases, and solids together.
- Suspension maintenance: Preventing solid particles from settling on the bottom of the tank.
- Homogenization: Achieving a uniform consistency in solutions and suspensions.
CONSTRUCTION:
- Main shell, bottom side taper cone and top cover of the tank will be made from Stainless Steel / Mild Steel as per the application or customer’s requirement.
- Rigid construction with required stiffeners.
- Top cover will be provided to avoid unnecessary entrance of dust and other foreign particles.
- Hinge provision provided on top cover for easy cleaning and maintenance purposes.
- A coddle plate will be provided inside the tank for proper vertex and agitation.
- The required pipe connections like inlet, outlet and drain should be provided.
- All pipe connections will be of stub end type with loose flange.
